Idiot Research

And how did people start production-based companies in the good old days anyway? Surely they couldn't survive on such meager incomes at that point? Or maybe they specialised and sold things at a ridiculous profit?

But people today don't want to spend money, right? They want everything cheap. Wait a second, lots of people are willing to spend money on things they might not need, at ridiculous prices... idiots!

I wonder if there are any formal studies on what makes idiots hand over money for things? Maybe there's some kind of catnip for idiots that make them hand over cash.

So maybe market research is back to front, surely if we can figure out what impulses people to pull out their wallet in the first place, we can cobble these together to make people give us money for no reason whatsoever....

What is this crap?
